Tactile Series 1
"When we interact with artwork in traditional settings like galleries and museums often the general rule is “look don’t touch.” To challenge this notion, I set out to create a series that stimulates our tactile senses and investigates the neurological processes which allow us to perceive different textures. I often say my intention as an artist is to create unique sensory experiences that anyone and everyone can enjoy regardless of where they came from, where they’re at, or where they’re going. By extending my interests beyond the visual realm I am hoping to create a more inclusive art space for people who are blind or visually impaired."
R G B
"In this series of work, I delve deeper into my exploration of our relationship with color and its relativity to the surrounding environment. By using flashing lights with alternating colors, I demonstrate how our visual interpretation of objects can change drastically in different lighting. I also illustrates this concept through 4-part paintings which consist of an original color palette and 3 variations: how the original color palette would appear under red, green, and blue lighting. My fixation on these 3 colors has been a growing passion since I became interested in these concepts of visual perception during my time in undergrad."
Fixed Gaze
"Having never before displayed my artwork in a solo exhibition, the goals I had for this show are simple yet analytical. These paintings and glass sculptures can exist perfectly on their own, but I am curious to see what they will become and how people will interact with them when they share a space. The viewers' behavior will play a pivotal role in the direction I take with future projects. It is crucial for me that any and everyone can freely engage and connect with my artwork. I want people to encounter it and realize that, despite our differences, we can still form bonds through collective experiences."

Public Projects
"Public projects are an important part of my artistic mission. I am passionate about bringing color and vibrancy to my community amidst the humdrum of daily life. Why should art exist only in its dedicated spaces? What use really is it within the four walls of a gallery? It seems so far away, so inaccessible in its protected enclosure. I want to bring my art to unexpected places, to enchant everyday shared spaces, giving anyone and everyone the chance at even just a moment of serenity."
