About Her Work
Elizabeth utilizes shapes and colors to investigate the relative nature of reality based on the physiology of sight. The main and most important factor of her process is the stripping away of subjectivity to display the bare minimum of human visual experiences. Everything we know to be true is created by the brain through the senses and though we collectively inhabit the same spaces, interpretation of optical stimuli varies from person to person. By illustrating different theories of visual perception, she can simultaneously emphasize each person's individual awareness as well as our shared sensory experiences. Thus, prompting considerations about how reality can be altered from one persons unique lens to the next.
